Mabang Bridge (PC Ella Koblo Gulama Bridge) The Mabang Bridge, spanning 231 meters across the Ribbi River, features a steel structure with a concrete deck, two abutments, and two central pillars, powered by solar electricity. It was commissioned to replace a former ferry crossing, improving safety and facilitating the movement of goods and people between the Northwestern and Southern regions of Sierra Leone. These bridges will replace ferry and boat crossings at Kabba, Komrabai, Moselolo, and Sumbuya, enhancing access to agricultural markets, promoting regional integration, and reducing travel time and risks, particularly during the rainy season.
